The People Who Show Up

It’s been one of those weeks that has reminded me just how much people matter.

My poor little Smart car had been sitting at the garage for nearly three weeks, waiting to be looked at. When I finally rang for an update, I was told they still hadn’t had time to look at it, but they kindly gave me the number of someone who could recover it.

Recover it to where?! 😂 Enter my neighbours.

One drove me to the garage and helped me tow the car home. Another then spent two days working on it. One new battery and a brake light switch later, Little Sid was back on the road and as good as new.

It made me think about how lucky I am to live where I do. People genuinely look out for each other. We hear so much about everything that’s wrong with the world, but I still believe there are far more good people than bad.

This week, I just happened to need a couple of them. ❤️
