My Basket
There’s something about this time of year that makes me want to hang on to the little moments.
Lately, I’ve been spending some mornings sitting outside in my egg chair with my journal and a hot cup of coffee, gently swinging while I watch the sun come up. I absolutely love it. And knowing that it won’t be long before those mornings are dark, cold and probably raining makes me appreciate them even more.
We’ve also had our first proper sunset walk of the year, along with some completely daft moments on our walks. We tried to play Poohsticks on a stream with no water, and somehow ended up with bubbles being blown all the way to the pub! 😂
It got me thinking about how often these are the moments I remember most. We can spend so much time looking forward to the next holiday, big adventure or exciting thing that it’s easy to miss what’s happening right under our noses.
A sunrise. A sunset. A rainbow. A hot coffee. Blowing bubbles. Sometimes life doesn’t need to be a big adventure to be a good one. Sometimes the little moments are more than enough. 💚
