🥾 6-Day Itinerary – For Fast & Fit Walkers

Perfect if you’re short on time and love a physical challenge. You’ll be walking up to 20+ miles per day, so this option suits experienced hikers who are comfortable with long days and want to cover ground quickly.

Best for: seasoned walkers, time-limited travellers, or those looking to test themselves.

🚶‍♀️ 7–8 Day Itinerary – The Balanced Approach

Our most popular itinerary! Walk around 10–15 miles per day, giving you enough time to enjoy the sights, grab a pub lunch, and explore the Wall without feeling rushed.

Best for: active walkers who want a mix of achievement and enjoyment.

🏛️ 9–10 Day Itinerary – For History Lovers & Photo Takers

If you want to savour the experience, this is the option for you. With daily walks of 8–10 miles, you’ll have time to pause for photos, explore the forts and museums, and really soak up the history of this incredible Roman frontier.

Is Luggage Transfer Included? 🎒🚐

Yes – luggage transfer is available on all self-guided Hadrian’s Wall itineraries!

Most walkers prefer to carry just a small daypack, and we fully support that! You’ll have the option to include daily luggage transfers, so your bags are safely transported from one accommodation to the next — allowing you to enjoy the trail without the extra weight.

🧳 How It Works:

  • Each morning, simply leave your bag at the designated collection point (usually reception).
  • It will be transferred to your next stop and waiting for you when you arrive.
  • No need to carry heavy gear or worry about navigating with full rucksacks.

💼 What Can I Pack?

Your main bag should weigh no more than 15kg (some transfer companies are strict on this).

Bring a small daypack for essentials like water, snacks, layers, and your passport (yes, there are stamps to collect!).

🙋 Can I walk without luggage transfer?

Yes, if you’re up for the challenge! Some adventurers prefer to carry all their gear, and that’s totally fine too — just let us know when completing your questionnaire.
