🤔 Did You Know?

  • 🎬 Game of Thrones fans, rejoice!
Dubrovnik doubled as King’s Landing in the hit HBO series. Walk the same steps as Cersei during her infamous “Walk of Shame” (clothes on, please).
  • 🏰 It’s got walls… and they’re serious.
The city walls stretch nearly 2km around Dubrovnik and reach up to 25 metres high. They were never breached—not even by the Venetians (and they were pretty persistent).
  • 🛶 Kayaking here might ruin you for life.
Once you’ve paddled under ancient fortresses and into turquoise caves, your local lake back home will feel… less epic.
  • 🐍 Lokrum Island is home to peacocks AND a curse.
Legend says monks cursed Lokrum before leaving in the 1800s. It hasn’t had permanent residents since (except for the peacocks… and a replica Iron Throne).
  • 🍦 They take gelato seriously.
There are over 30 gelato stands within the Old Town. It’s not a dessert—it’s a daily ritual.
  • 🚫 No high heels allowed.
Well, sort of. The polished cobbles are slippery, uneven, and historic. Locals advise ditching stilettos unless you fancy a stylish slide.
  • 🌅 The sunsets here could make you weep.
Or at least reach for your phone. Buza Bar is built into the cliffs and serves drinks with a side of jaw-dropping Adriatic views.
  • 🐱 There are more cats than people in some corners.
Locals care for Dubrovnik’s many street cats. They’re friendly, well-fed, and clearly living their best lives in the sun.
