Brampton Valley Way & Pitsford Water
Join Paul for an 11-mile off-road ride starting from Brampton Halt in Chapel Brampton.
We’ll begin on the Brampton Valley Way before heading towards Brixworth and following the path around Pitsford Reservoir, eventually looping back to where we started.
This route has the bonus of toilets along the way, and we’ll start and finish at Brampton Halt — rather conveniently placed for a post-ride drink or bite to eat!
At approximately 11 miles, this is a 🔵 Steady Ride. It’s a step up from our shortest Gentle rides and, being off-road, you’ll want to be comfortable riding on paths rather than expecting smooth tarmac throughout.
As always, we’ll ride together, regroup when needed and enjoy the ride rather than worrying about speed.
Friendly, social cycling without the pressure
Adventure Geek Cycling Club rides are social and supportive, designed for people who want to enjoy cycling without racing or feeling they need to keep up.
👤 Led by Paul Coxon
Paul is an experienced cyclist with a calm, supportive approach. He’s outdoor first aid trained and very knowledgeable when it comes to bikes — from basic maintenance to on-the-go problem solving. You’ll be in safe, capable hands.
🚲 We ride together
No one gets left behind and the pace is set to suit the group. Routes have approximate mileage, allowing some flexibility depending on the group, conditions and how everyone is feeling on the day.
☕ Coffee stops
Where possible, we’ll stop at a café along the way — because good conversations and good coffee are part of the adventure.
