Iceland Winter Adventure 2027
This is one of our Adventure Geek Travel holidays – five days of waterfalls, glaciers, black sand beaches, geothermal waters and some of the most dramatic winter scenery in Iceland.
We’ll head out to explore Iceland’s famous Golden Circle and South Coast, including thundering waterfalls, bubbling geothermal landscapes and the beautiful black sands of Reynisfjara.
One of the real highlights will be travelling to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach, where huge chunks of ice wash up onto the volcanic black sand. We’ll also venture inside a glacier on a guided ice cave experience.
There’ll be time to soak in the warm waters of the Blue Lagoon too – and, if Iceland decides to put on a show for us, we’ll hopefully get to see the Northern Lights dancing overhead.
And because this is an Adventure Geek trip, we’re looking to add a little more outdoor adventure to the itinerary too.
🔵 Steady
Short walks & sightseeing · Winter conditions · Uneven and potentially icy terrain · A good level of general fitness recommended
This isn’t a full-on hiking holiday, but you will be outside exploring in winter conditions. Expect short walks, uneven ground, cold weather and plenty of getting on and off our transport as we explore.
