Welcome

Join me at Welton Village Hall for an evening with the Welton Ladies Group, where I’ll be sharing the story of my solo adventure on the Pacific Crest Trail.

In 2023, I set out to hike the PCT – a 2,650-mile trail through the deserts, mountains and wilderness of the American West. I had one backpack, one set of clothes and, rather optimistically, two pairs of knickers. 😄

The talk covers everything from rattlesnakes, scorpions and tarantulas to hitchhiking, raging rivers, extreme desert heat and snow-covered mountain passes.

But the real story isn’t simply about hiking a very long way.

It’s about stepping outside your comfort zone, learning to trust yourself and discovering just how resourceful and resilient you can be when things don’t quite go to plan.

Whether you’re an adventurer yourself or simply enjoy a good story, come along and support me for an evening of tales from one of the biggest adventures of my life.

About the Talk

Expect stories about:

  • 🥾 Life on a 2,650-mile trail
  • 🐍 Rattlesnakes, scorpions and tarantulas
  • 🚗 Hitchhiking for the first time
  • 🏜️ 100-degree desert heat
  • 🏔️ Ice, snow and mountain passes
  • 🎒 What living with almost nothing taught me
  • ❤️ Resilience, courage and stepping outside your comfort zone
